A 58 year old man was found dead in the cab of his pick-up on Tuesday afternoon.
Police and rescue services made their way to the Sukhumvit Road in Na-Jomtien and to the front of a construction site where the victim’s Green Toyota Mighty X pick-up was parked.

Inside was Khun Noy aged 58 in the driver seat which was reclined as if he intended to pull over and sleep. Police noticed the gas had run out and the front bonnet of the vehicle was slightly warm.

Witnesses saw the vehicle pull over and concerned construction workers approach after the vehicle had remained at the location for more than 2 hours. The driver could not be roused so the Police were called-in to investigate.

Police suspect the man pulled over and fell asleep while the engine was still running. They think he either fell into a deep sleep or lost consciousness due to a health issue and may have suffocated when the engine and the air conditioning stopped working.

A postmortem examination will take place which will either confirm the Police theory or will reveal another cause of death which is not thought to be suspicious in any way.
