American found dead in the back garden of his house

On Saturday Afternoon, Police Lieutenant Colonel Supashat, Deputy Chief of Banglamung Police Station was called to house number 30/11 at the Swiss Paradise Village located in East Pattaya following the discovery of a badly decomposed body, thought to be that of the American owner of the house. A maid working in a nearby house noticed a strong odor coming from the victim’s house and spotted the body of a man lying in the garden. The Police were called and examined the body of the man who is thought to be Mr. Mohammed Belhadef aged 56 from USA. He was lying close to steps leading from the back porch to the garden and next to a beach umbrella which had fallen on the body. The man is thought to have been dead for at least 5 days which corresponds with his birthday which is 26th October 1953. The cause of death is unknown at this time and nothing untoward was found inside the house. Police will wait for the results of a post mortem examination before they proceed with this case in conjunction with the US Embassy in Bangkok who has been informed.
