Mystery surrounds Cambodian woman found dead on road in Sattahip

A young Cambodian woman was left on a road with her personal belongings early on Friday Morning and was later found dead by Police. The woman, thought to be aged around 25 was carrying 4,500 Baht and some Cambodian currency. She had sustained a fatal head trauma and her clothes were strewn across the road in the Samaer San area in Sattahip. The unusual discovery left Police unsure of what led to her death. They can only surmise at this point that she may have either fallen or was pushed off a fast moving vehicle which failed to stop at the scene. Police guess that the woman was an illegal immigrant working at a construction site nearby. Investigations are now underway as Police attempt to unravel the mystery behind the death of this young woman.

The police have very likely guessed right on this one as to the origin of the deceased and the events as they unfolded…somewhere in Battambang someone will be thinking, “Why don’t she ever answer her mobile?”

Adds to the despair of the story,seeing all her belongings scatted about near her body,got me thinking a poor girl who died with the little she had in this world

jonny she may not have have much .. but she did have the rest of her life in front of her … very very sad story .. tho i doubt she was pushed as i doubt she would have grabbed all her personals falling from a fast moving vehice … more likely hit while crossing the road or fallen off a bike .. and the bike then stolen .

My guess would be she has accidently fallen off the back of a construction truck on the way home whilst her and everyone else was sleeping and her fall has gone unnoticed.

Very sad indeed but i wonder Jake where you got the information she was from Battambang ?? since they dont say her name or where she is from .. anybody as a follow up to that story or name of the Victim ??
