Two suspected drug dealers, who were recently removed from the Monk-hood due to their poor behavior were arrested by Sattahip District Officials on Thursday. Khun Somshart aged 23 and Khun Chatchai aged 24 were recently released from Prison after serving 4 year sentences for armed robbery. Upon their release they were ordained as monks at the Tepprasat Temple in Dow Tan Village. The Chief Monk received information the pair were acting in a manner not becoming of a monk and there was a suspicion the pair were attempting to recruit fellow monks to sell class 1 drugs on their behalf. Both were removed from the Monk-hood but continued to appear at the Temple on a daily basis and were still trying to recruit monks as drug dealers. An undercover operation was organized to entrap the pair which was successful, leading to their arrest. Both were transferred to Sattahip Police Station and charged with class 1 drug dealing.
