Norwegian dies following Bar Brawl at Central Pattaya Beer Bar

A Norwegian died less than 24 hours after suffering a severe skull fracture during a bar brawl at a popular Norwegian-owned Beer Bar in Central Pattaya. The fight occurred in the early hours of Thursday at Kåres Party Bar in Central Pattaya. The altercation was reportedly between the victim, Mr. Jarle Nyegaard aged 43 and a man currently known only as “Bubu” thought to be aged between 35 and 40. Mr. Nyegaard was at the bar with friends when the altercation began and Mr. Nyegaard was knocked to the floor by the suspected attacker. During the fall his head hit a table causing a major skull fracture. He was rushed to Pattaya Memorial Hospital and remained in a coma until the early hours of Friday when he passed-away due to his injuries. Police are currently investigating the case and are speaking with other patrons at the bar to determine the exact chain-of-events which led up to the altercation. The man known only as “Bubu” remains at large.

Unfortunate. Just a guy trying to enjoy himself and a fight happens. Probably didn’t intend to kill him but he hit his head so he is guilty of his death. What is in that bag.

Yes very bad luck for both. I don’t want to say what it looks like in the bag as surely he didn’t hit his head hard enough in his fall into the table to loose all that???

The dead guys girlfriend was approached the next morning by Bubus “wife” pretty much ordering her to say it was an accident. She was warned the consequences would be dire if she did not. As she was not present at the time she cannot actually say anything at all. So far the police have not even been to interview this woman. FWIW he took just one punch to the side of the head. A lesson to people to be very careful if they wish to dish out violence, the consequences could be dire.

Part of his skull? Horrible. Paulo is right be careful trying to prove your manhood in Pattaya. The consequences may be far worse than you anticipated.

omg!that bag, RIP to the deceased, it used to be fun coming onto PON to have a laugh and a wind up but pattaya seems to be getting worse and more dangerous by the day, i’ll be sharpening my wits before i come next week, so sad a life ended for a drunken arrguement that so easily could have been avoided

It’s said among people in the bar that the fight started when “Bubu” told Nygaard not to drive home on the motorbike while he was drunk. This caused and arguement, cos Nygaard got upset.

“JAKE” now people are saying it did not happen that way at all…BUBU pushed the guy who stumbled out on to the street and smacked into a tree at which time a coconut fell on his head…at least some people around town want you to believe it…

RIP.Those bloody concrete tables as found outside many bars on Soi 7 are horrid. I hope they get the perpetrator and bring him to justice.

Do the details matter that much? Come tomorrow witnesses will say that an alien being from the planet UCF 1.01 threw the victim against a food stall. One guy is dead because two associates were apparently drinking and got into a foolish argument. Doesn’t look like a native thai beating a foreigner so no needs to panic.

If Bubu is caught he will be free on bail in two weeks. And back in his home country within a month. Just like the Swedish guy that stabbed and killed the Kiwi.

Its said that the norwegian have found a lawyer, and will report himself to the police on sunday. He was hiding cos of his fear of not beeing believed by the police.

Kares Bar is in Beer Bar complex just before Soi Diana.My best friend got punched to the ground there last New Years Eve.
