A Singaporean, accused of stealing money from a Thai woman, was arrested by Pattaya Police on Walking Street in the early hours of Sunday. The original theft of the money occurred on 30th July and was reported at the Police Station by the alleged victim Khun Nongluck aged 20 who advised Police that the amount of 7,000 Baht in cash and an IPhone 4S was stolen which were contained inside her shoulder-bag. She had met the man earlier in the evening. Mr. Leon Ricko aged 23, who claimed he was a wealthy Japanese businessman, suggested the pair go out for the evening together in his car. Khun Nongluck agreed to accompany him and at the end of the evening she left the car for a moment to purchase something at a 24 hour convenience store . As she left the car, the doors were locked and Mr. Ricko drove off. On Sunday, he was spotted by the victim on Walking Street and she called the Police who came to arrest him. On Sunday he was found to be carrying 70,000 Baht in cash inside his trouser pocket which was seized by Police pending further investigations into the origin of the cash. The case continues.
