Two women were injured in the early hours of Thursday in a road accident on the Sukhumvit Road in South Pattaya. Their motorbike collided with a stationary 6-wheel truck and according to witnesses, it appeared the driver of the bike was using her mobile phone at the time. The passenger on the bike, Khun Waraporn aged 16 sustained a broken left arm and minor head injuries and was rushed to Hospital. The bike driver, Khun Asinar aged 20 suffered a crushed left leg as she became stuck between her bike and the truck following the collision. Police are investigating the case and will speak with the bike driver as soon as she is fit to be interviewed. We understand no blame has been put on the truck driver who was judged to have parked his vehicle in the correct way.

“”"collided with a stationary 6-wheel truck the driver of the bike was using her mobile phone at the time.Police are investigating the case and will speak with the bike driver as soon as she is fit to be interviewed.”"”

Someone that friggin’ stupid will never be “fit” to be interviewed.

  • teo

she probably seen the truck and lost control trying to save her mobile phone when she realized a crash was imminent

  • Robert

We have all done stupid things and been lucky enough to get away it them. I wish them both a full recovery.

  • Halffilipino/Thai

@robert ,, yes we all have done stupid things, but jake has never done a stupid things like answering, reading text on his mobile while driving.. Just a perfect role model for all of us …

  • Bob

50/50 thai is as usual defending stupid driving.

  • jo-macral

All I can do is shake my head. This fine country is full of stupid people, and I fear this pandemic is only getting worse, not better.

I hope the two ladies recover, and learn a valuable lesson from this.

  • Rob

@jo-macral …. recover … probably, learn a valuable lesson … I very much doubt it!

  • Jake

@Halfbaked….what you say is basically correct. Its obvious you could benefit from my guidance, however,..anyone that would not know on their own to not text while driving a motorbike or any vehicle for that matter probably needs something more than a mentor to guide them.

  • Halffilipino/Thai

@ Jo macral and jake … U sound like texting or talking on the while driving on happens in Thailand .. U think in your country not a one person does the same thing .. Your mr saint attitude does not make you a smart individual.. Most people know even my 12 yr old niece, that people in this industrial and technological age , people one way or the other at some point in time has to answer , read text or even have a conversation while driving … We all know it’s dangerous and unsafe.. my point is if you’re going to comment put a real good thought before you write it down… Because I’m sure you have done it…

  • Rob

“Most people know even my 12 yr old niece, that people in this industrial and technological age , people one way or the other at some point in time has to answer , read text or even have a conversation while driving” ….. what an absolute load of crap, no one HAS to answer their phone while driving, they just pull over you moron! It’s exactly this type of mentality that gets people killed, I just hope your 12 year old niece smartens up before she hits the roads ….. or maybe she already has and need to smarten up now!

  • Jake

Thank you Halfbaked. I no longer have to point out what a complete and total idiot you are. Your last post makes it abundantly clear to all.

  • Halffilipino/Thai

Haha … I love it ,, when you are quick to attack your keyboard in response to my point… I am not denying the fact, but i will admiy it! To make you happy … So next time you answer , text, reply to your phone while driving, because I am sure you will, I’ll bet my new BMW … And if you will realize what you have just done, your moron comment points directly to you as well….

  • Bob

Halfbaked thai stikes again ,defending total stupid driving

  • Don

@ Halfbaked – Does that flash new BMW of yours come with an industrial and technological hands free kit?

    Stupid is as stupid does!

  • mike

Does mentioning you have or may have a BMW make your argument more valid? it certainly does not impress anyone I think

  • saujana

…@50/50…be reasonable, you can’t defend everyone here..sometimes we need to admit that we need to be corrected to get things right..maybe your half Filipino blood is boiling everytime u read messages as above because that’s what Filipino’s are…can’t accept negative comment and will try to explain why they are right.

  • John Guru

Stupidity + motorbike + stationary object = accident + injury or death!!

  • J. Rochester

Lucky girls on this occasion – let’s hope it shakes them up enough to stop them doing it again….when in an accident, you have to be lucky every time, the Grim Reaper only has to be lucky once!

Halfflip/thai…I know everyone seems to direct their attention towards you, and not usually in such a nice way, but I have to say that you don’t do yourself many favours with some of the comments you post on here.

You’re arguments are almost always along the lines of ‘stop criticizing Thailand/Thai people, westerners are bad as well’…..and then you tell us that you have a new car. If you understand the western mentality then you’ll know that telling them about your car or how much money you’ve got, in a boastful way, will probably not impress a westerner one bit.

Also, it’s inevitable that Thailand/Thai people will draw criticism on this website from time to time because it’s a Local Thai News Website!…visit a Western News Blog and you’ll see westerners criticizing westerners pretty harshly.
