The Royal Thai Navy Narcotics Unit have been tracking a suspected drug dealer who lives in South Pattaya and is thought to be travelling to the Sattahip area on a daily basis to sell class 1 drugs. Early on Wednesday Morning, the officers met at Big C in South Pattaya and planned their operation to catch the suspect who was also thought to be using a further man to distribute the drugs. The Officers made their way to Soi Tamsamakee Temple in South Pattaya and an operative had arranged to meet the men to purchase a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine for 40,000 Baht in marked bank notes. The operation went to plan and officers initially arrested Khun Sunan aged 23 who was carrying the marked money. He had already handed over 32.97g of the drug separated into 10 small bags. A second man, the main target of the operation, Khun Suchart aged 26 was found nearby and was confirmed at the scene as the main supplier by Khun Sunan. The two men were transferred to Pattaya Police Station where they were both charged with class 1 drug offences. A third suspected dealer, Khun Daert who also lives in Pattaya is thought to have supplied the drugs to Khun Sunan and he is now being hunted by the narcotics team.
