On Tuesday Afternoon, Police and Sea Rescue Units were called to Larn Island to deal with a human corpse which had been washed up on Samaer Beach, one of a number of beaches on the Island frequented by foreign tourists. The body was discovered by Khun Tanyoo aged 45, who was fishing on nearby rocks when he spotted the body. Upon closer inspection it was found to be the naked body of a male and there is a suspicion it could be a foreigner, rather than a Thai, due to the color of the skin. Due to the level of decomposition no other clues as to the cause of death could be ascertained. The body was taken to Pattaya where a post mortem examination will take place. Police missing person’s reports are also being checked at this time.

Once, two years ago when I was inside Sukhumvit Pharmacy,I was approached by one decent tall man who identified himslef as a Turk. He used to talk fluent Arabic and told me that he had just arrived from his native country and that he had never seen Thai currency before and requested ne to show him. As I drew my poach from my pocket, he suddenly grabed it with supersonic speed, he drew money from then quickly returned the poach to me. I grabed his arm firmly and aked my brother to count remaining money and found six hundred USA Dollars missing. As I was calling for help, he accused me as being a mad man, but he dropped the money on the floor. My brother counted it and when I found it correct, I set him free

I was on this beach Sunday, and was wondering about general safety of swimmers.
Not sure if it would have helped in this case, but many popular beaches around the world have lifeguards on duty.

  5. ter says:

Easy. Two security alarms. Two huge Labradors. You would have to be beyond being stupid, locals know, strangers know. We walk them. 78 kilos of dogs. That is our 3rd but foremost security.
