Pattaya Drug Ring controlled by Prison Inmate, shut-down by Police
On Thursday Morning at Banglamung Police Station, Police Major General Tanaert, the Provincial Police Commander, held a press conference to announce the arrest of 4 men in connection with a drug distribution network which was being run by an inmate at the Chonburi Prison. Khun Anupap is thought to be a gang leader at the Prison and gave information to Police about his drug distribution operation which was based here in Pattaya. The information led to the arrest of 4 men in a joint operation involving Pattaya and Banglamung Police who seized a total of 3,000 Yabba Tablets and 512.8g of Crystal Methamphetamine along with a rifle and a hand gun. Seven Motorbikes and two cars were also seized by Police. One further suspected drug dealer, Khun Noppadon, is currently on the run but is expected to be caught soon.
