Two arrested following recent Gold Shop Robbery in East Pattaya

Back on 6^th April we reported on a robbery at the Soipet Gold Shop in Banglamung which was caught on Security cameras. The robbery involved a male and female who were lucky to escape with their lives after the shop owner produced a gun as the pair ran from the shop, however the gun jammed as Khun Saipet aged 45 attempted to fire at them. A campaign to arrest the pair has been ongoing for some time and pictures of the two suspects have been circulated around the area. Amazingly the pair has been spotted passing the shop on their motorbike, a number of occasions. We can now report that the pair have been arrested at their rented house in Soi Nong Get Yai, located close to the Gold Shop. Khun Mongkol aged 23 and his girlfriend Khun Nang are now on remand pending a court appearance. They have remained silent regarding the incident and will neither confirm nor deny it was them despite having the Security Camera evidence.
