On Saturday Afternoon, a local Channel 7 Journalist, Khun Atipadee aged 33 made a complaint at Pattaya Police Station direct to Police Colonel Nantawoot, the Station Chief regarding an incident which occurred earlier this week at the Zee Bar & Restaurant located just off Pattaya Third Road close to the South Pattaya Road intersection. He was joined at the station by members of the Pattaya Journalists Club. The case was referred to Police Lieutenant Colonel Anan who was told that the journalist claimed to have been assaulted by security at the pub over a misunderstanding relating to an unpaid bar bill which had been apparently paid moments before the altercation. The journalist claimed he was repeatedly kicked in the head after being pushed to the floor and required a CT scan later in Hospital following Doctor’s concerns that he had suffered a bleed in his brain. He was given the all clear and suffered only minor facial injuries. The report will now be followed by arrest warrants for suspects involved in the alleged attack.
