Russian Tourist assaulted and robbed on Pattaya Beach

5th March 2010

Just after 3.30 on Friday Morning, Police Lieutenant Colonel Grisagorn from Pattaya Police Station was called to Pattaya Beach in front of Soi 11 to assist a Russian Tourist who had been attacked by three Thai men, one of them armed with a long knife. The victim, known only as “Danny” aged 25 sustained serious head wounds and he explained that the three men approached and proceeded to assault him and steal his money and mobile phone. The three men were then seen to run in the direction of Walking Street. Descriptions of the three men were vague as the attack happened in less than a minute. The victim refused to go to the Hospital for further medical treatment, so he was taken to Pattaya Police Station to make a report of the incident.

After 13 years here, I can tell you one thing:
because of the increasing number of russians here in pattaya, the place is becoming worse, look yourself how russians behave, look how they treat thai people! They seem to have no education, no manners at all!!! Norwegians aren’t much better.
On the other hand: Thais consider Canadians and americans as the prettiest, nicest people.
Wait another 10 years and you’ll see only Asian-, middle eastern- and Indian tourists in Pattaya, while farangs (Caucasians) look for other places to relax, due to increasing water-, enviromental,- and other problems (corruption, personal safety!).

The Foreigner is always the cause of problems over here.

Alice Nutter: you are a racist clown.

  4. Steve says:

Actually, the Russians who come here are pretty well behaved. I’d recommend not going out on Beach Road past midnight.

  5. Dieter Berger says:

Alice Nutter, you are disqualifying yourself, insolting people, you don’t know. Nothing more to say.

  6. Alice Nutter says:

Dieter Berger: What is racist about saying that German’s are unwelcome in Pattaya? Back to your sunbed Dieter, your young Thai catamite awaits.

  7. Dieter Berger says:

Alice Nutter: Thanks for having a second look into your mind. That’s racism pure. Welcome to Nazi’s world.

  8. dave says:

I think all nationalities who holiday in Pattaya have on occasion behaved naughty.
It is a naughty town for naughty people.
That is of cause with the exception of Aussies who are always well behaved and complete gentlemen.

  9. Alice Nutter says:

Dieter Berger: This is the typical response I expected from ‘The Hun’. You might be interested to learn that from May 15th 2013 German citizens will not be receiving a 30 day exempt visa upon arrival and must apply for a tourist travel visa in their home country. This is due to the continuing bad behavior and criminality of their citizens overseas. Shame on the German race!

  10. david jones says:

alice your spot on the money………..it was better when all the russians were poor and spent all day lining up for bread rather than making c…s of themselves in formally pleasant thai holiday locations…..anyone drink a vodka to that?

  11. Dieter Berger says:

Unfortunately we don’t know the full facts of the case. English have a regular reputation of drunkenness and bad behavior in Pattaya, indecent exposure, public violence and affray and loud mouthed swearing etc. I suggest that this man ‘Danny’ knew full well that he was in the wrong and for that reason held his full name and refused medical attention. So my judgment is in this case, is well done the three Thai chaps!
Alice Nutter, just changed 1 word, isn’t it good!!! D. Berger

  16. doggy says:

yes guns are the answer if the russian had blown one of the assailants head off this would have served as a warning to the other two that he was not happy with the situation that was unfolding.. the other two realising they weren’t going to get anything from the russian could then attempt to be his friend so he could take them for a beer… sorted..

  17. Jack Mehoff says:

If this Russkie was acting like most of the English in this fair land, then he probably deserved it.

  18. Pattaya Boy says:

    lol russians same old crap

  19. iain says:

Are tourists permited to carry a gun if it is legally registered in Thailand or if it is even possible under the law. Because if it was tourists could protect themselves from the gun toteing and knife weilding bad guys. I’m not looking for a gun fight but if the bad guys have guns this way you might stand a chance. Giddy Up!

Unfortunately we don’t know the full facts of the case.
