27th February 2010

Just after 4am on Saturday, Police Colonel Nantawoot, the Chief of Pattaya Police, conducted a raid of the Zee Bar and Restaurant formerly known as the 93 mile Pub located just off Pattaya Third Road close to the South Pattaya Road intersection. The raid took place following a number of complaints from residents who were angry over the late opening of the pub. During the raid patrons were checked for drugs and firearms and were also urine tested. Two female patrons under the age of 18 were found inside and 2 men failed urine tests. The manager of the venue, Khun Tanasaert aged 39 was arrested and taken back to Pattaya Police Station along with the two men who were later charged with consumption of a class 1 drug. No other irregularities were found at the Pub which could now face further punishment as a result of the raid.
