Pattaya Police clear Pattaya Beach of suspected Prostitutes

Following orders from the new Pattaya Police Chief, Police Colonel Nantawoot, a team of Pattaya Police Officers assisted by civil volunteers, known in Thai as “O-Po-Po-Lor”, conducted a late night operation on Wednesday to clear Pattaya Beach of Prostitutes and others suspected of loitering with intent to engage in anti-social or criminal activity. A total of 60 people were rounded-up, including 20 transsexuals and 40 women. All were charged with offences relating to loitering with intent and prostitution and paid a small fine before being released back onto the Beach where they presumably continued with whatever they were doing prior to their arrest.

You just blown me away. My search is over for the world’s most ignorant man. Wear the crown proudly. WOW!!! Anyway it is difficult to stop the worlds oldest profession. I have partook in both thailand’s culture and the “fun” side. I have actually met some wonderful ladies on beach road. Many of these ladies are simply adding to their low wages. If you are so concerned please supliment every ladies income with your vast fortune. And of yea the crown for worlds biggest fool is still avalible. I nominate you.

You have totally contradicted yourself.
One minute you are saying that all Foreigners should be locked up for going with Thai girls and then you are saying that you are married to a good Thai Lady.
I am also happily married to a Thai Lady and also my son if half Thai, but i dont think i deserve to be locked up just because i want to go for a beer at night.
Unfortunately Pattaya is Pattaya and it is never going to change.
The only thing i can really say is that if you are not happy with it then dont live there……….
Mikey, You said it, they have no other way to feed themselves, you are right. But not all working girls are drug addicts, you of all people should know that. As for aids, it orginated in Africa and spread around the world from there and the last time I checked thailand had one of the highest rates most likely due to the thais not likeing to suit up. Did you also know that the working girl business in thailand that caters only to male thais is about 10 times the size of the farang end of the business. And one more thing, stop giving your “good” pharaya money and see what happens. I enjoy Disneyland and I do not pay for rides, I pay them to leave because the last thing I want is to be married in Thailand, I’m just having to much fun! Chok dii!
iain my dear man im not sure if uare aware of this but im going to give u something to think about std sti aids etc were brought to thailand by foeginers much like the europeans brought small poks to the indians of north americia these girls are only doing this casue they have no other way to feed themselves or are addicated to dope or what have u why not visit thailand for its beauty and maybe find a good thai wife like myself instead of being a loser and paying for it

Maybe the will try to completely “clean up” pattaya. Stop all prostitution, enact a prohibition on alcohol and arrest all gays. That will make Pattaya a destination for nobody . . .
Now they’ll have to charge next customer an extra 500 baht to cover the 500 baht prostitution fine…..
or maybe swipe another phone here or there.
HINT: This only works if the fine is higher and you enforce it EVERY NIGHT. They could end this in a week at that rate if they wanted.
Let not miss the point here, this has got nothing to do with the authorities trying to stop what goes on along Beach Road and everything to do with them showing periodically that they are in control. Its Thailand, love it oe leave it.

Hardly a deterrent thou is it being released to go back and work from the location you was arrested from on the same night, maybe the police was hungry that evening and needed some funds. If they did it every night they would not go back.
Yo Mike! Are we having fun in Pattaya? I would quess not. The things that walk on Beach Road need to be removed, I agree. But leave the service and massage girls alone, everyone needs to earn a living, unless of course you would like to sponsor them. And as for jail, why don’t you go, you might get lucky.

How will this make Pattaya a safer place? The police should concentrate on theft and violent crime, not pick on the beach workers who look for mug punters on Beach Road. Most of them only have months to live and are already suffering from HIV, TB and Syphilis.
It whats refered to as a pressure valve release, let out just enough steam to stop an explosion.
