12th February 2010

In the early hours of Friday Morning, Police Lieutenant Colonel Chusak from the National Police Anti-Trafficking Division conducted a raid on the Tahitian Queen Bar located in South Pattaya following a report that explicit shows were taking place at the venue, located on Pattaya Beach Road. The team of officers arrived and noticed a show was taking place on a stage. The female performers were not wearing any cloths and were detained along with the manager of the venue Khun Prasai aged 47. The licenses for the venue were checked and it was found that the license holder for the venue is Khun Anop who is currently being sought by Police. The arrestees were taken to Pattaya Police Station for processing, however the venue is expected to be open for business as usual over the weekend.

I’ve been to the TQ several times – great rock music with a good, friendly atmosphere in my opinion. But… arresting (well-over-age) naked dancing girls in a Pattaya Go-Go bar… well, you can’t make it up, you just can’t… More tea anyone…?

    WOW,

Was just in there two weeks ago. I had a social conversation with someone that work there about this. I guess neither one of us knocked on wood that night. But the lady that left with me knocked on wood all night. LOL Could this have been something to do with Cobra Gold that was going on at the time? Or were the cops looking for lunch and dinner money?Best of luck to the TQ staff and employee’s, and I will see you in a couple of months.

    @Nick

I totally agree with you. Maybe 85% of the “clever” farang businessmen lost all their money but I also know numerousnes people over here, they are doing a good bargain……SINCE MANY YEARS.

@new bar owners (not TQ, they know well)

Never forget: DO PAY your tea money accurate and your mamasarng will get a phone call a half hour BEFORE the razzia or raid will start ;-) Otherwise you can become one of the 85% losers very soon.

  9. Chris says:

I ‘m totally flabbergasted, naked girls in Pattaya, this must be some sort of misunderstanding.

I have never seen any signs of prostitution during my twenty years in this beautiful city, and I ‘m still a strong believer in the clean water as the biggest source for tourism.

  14. qweee says:

Just came back from Pattaya, my personal stat is that 95% of gogos have some naked dancers. It’s never been like that, and quite frankly I prefer when they have something on. They seem to dance better and be less embarassed. Yeah I know I am old fashioned…

  15. shergars ghost says:

Strewth, the Police don’t care for the welfare of these girls, didn’t they realise that they took their clothes off because it was so humid and hot.:)

  16. A Friend says:

    Naked dancers in Pattaya!

    FOR SHAME!

How DARE they let this happen?!?

…. Or maybe someone forgot to pay the police their tea money this week :D
