Temple Worker found dead in Temple Grounds

Just before daybreak on Wednesday, Police and Rescue Services were called to the Sattahip Temple, just outside of Pattaya, to investigate the death of a man who would regularly sleep inside a Thai style Sala inside the Temple Grounds. Khun Sonram aged 45 worked as an assistant to the Monks and was known to be suffering from a serious illness. On Tuesday Night, he was complaining of breathing difficulties and went to sleep earlier than usual. He was discovered by Monks, just before 5am as they prepared to leave the Temple to collect food from local villagers. Police do not suspect any foul play in relation to the death but will close the case only after the results of a post mortem examination are received.
