Residents at Niran Grand Condo in Soi Arunothai, Central Pattaya were in shock on Tuesday Afternoon, following a brutal murder in front of Building C. Police Colonel Nopadon, the Chief of Pattaya Police attended the location and oversaw the initial investigations into the death of Khun Nirut aged 40 who was well known to business owners and residents within the complex and was nicknamed “Sia Rut Niran”. He was gunned down in front of a shop and Police arrived to find his body slumped over a black sofa. He had sustained 3 gun shots to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene by a Forensic Doctor. He was murdered in front of a shop owned by his family who were understandably in shock. The victim’s Sister, Khun Sutirat aged 42 could not offer any explanations as to why he was murdered. Khun Oat aged 25, a business associate of the victim witnessed the shooting and told Police that two men on a Blue and White Yamaha Meo parked in front of the shop and the passenger calmly walked up to Khun Nirut as he was on his mobile phone outside the shop. He expelled 3 shots and the pair then fled. Initial investigations suggest Khun Nirut was an illegal money lender and organizer of a football gambling operation. He was also thought to have recently involved himself in drug dealing. CCTV images have been taken from the scene and Police are confident of catching the killer and his accomplice in due course.
