Chief Monk of Larn Island Temple passes away at the age of 81.
Early on Tuesday Morning Pra Kroowimonpar Sugit, the Chief Monk of the Mai Samlan Temple on Larn Island passed away at the age of 81 at Pattaya Memorial Hospital following a heart attack. He was ordained 57 years ago and dedicated his life to the Monkhood. Funeral Rights are now taking place at the Chaimonkol Temple located on the South Pattaya Road. Hours after his passing he was taken to the Temple and many Larn Island residents made their way to the temple to pay their last respects to the Monk who will lay in state until 29th. His body will be kept in a casket for 100 days until the final cremation which is expected to feature a ceremonial flame from His Majesty The King which will be used to cremate the body.
