Woman throws herself in front of train in Jomtien.
A disturbing case of apparent suicide now from the train track in Soi Nongabok in Jomtien. Police Major Winai from Banglamung Police Station was called to the track early on Sunday Morning after a train driver reported a collision with a female who threw herself in front of the train. Khun Manop aged 42, the train driver, explained that he was traveling from Laem Chabang to Rayong Province. He saw the woman on the side of the track and used his horn to warn her of the approaching train. She did not move and as soon as the train was meters away from her she threw herself in front of it. Body parts belonging to Khun Wandee aged 45 were recovered by rescue workers who also attended the scene. The victims’ motorbike was parked nearby which contained personal documents including those relating to a piece of land the victim owns. These were seized by Police and later passed on to the family of the deceased. A motive behind the apparent suicide is currently not known and is being investigated at this time.
