German found dead in South Pattaya apartment.

On Wednesday Night, Police Lieutenant Colonel Pratip from Pattaya Police Station was called to the Pattaya Hill Mansions located in South Pattaya, to investigate a foreign fatality. Inside room number 301 was the body of Mr. Artur Kappler aged 65 from Germany. He was lying on the floor next to the bed and appeared extremely emaciated. Medication was found in the room and staff at the Mansions revealed the man had occupied the room for the last 5 years and was currently staying alone. The body was removed and a post mortem examination is now underway. Police suspect he died as a result of a long running illness. The German Embassy in Bangkok has been informed of the death and they are now in the process of contacting next of kin in Germany.
