19 year old man shot dead in South Pattaya.
Just before 3am on Thursday, Police Captain Griengaiwoot from Pattaya Police Station was called to the front of the LK Market on Pattaya Third Road to investigate a fatal shooting. At the scene was the body of Khun Alisaman aged 19 lying near the curb. Upon inspection of the body it was determined that he had been shot twice in the head and once in his right knee. His motorbike with the left indicator still on was parked on the side of the road. The victim’s girlfriend, Khun Suchira aged 26, who was with the victim at the time of the shooting was understandably distraught but explained to Police that the pair were on their way back to her home when six people on three motorbikes pulled up beside the victim and forced him to stop. One of the men produced a gun and shot at the victim who died at the scene. Khun Suchira further explained that earlier in the night they had gone to a Pub in Central Pattaya. Khun Alisaman did have an altercation with a group of men which appeared not to be too serious. Khun Suchira is unsure if the shooting was the result of these problems and Police are currently exploring a number of possible motives behind the shooting.
