Woman killed in Central Pattaya road accident.

On Tuesday Morning Police were called to the scene of a fatal road accident which occurred on the Central Pattaya Road in front of the Padoon Market. The accident involved a motorbike and a water tanker. The driver of the motorbike, Khun Nitaya aged 23 who works for the Tops Supermarket chain, was killed when she lost control of her motorbike as she took evasive action to avoid a double-parked car on the side of the road. She fell to the floor and second later the water tanker ran over her, according to numerous witness accounts. The driver of the tanker Khun Pornanan aged 45 explained to Police that he was transporting water to a customer in North Pattaya and claimed he was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision with the victim. He is now assisting Police with their enquiries as the family of the victim comes to terms with their unexpected and tragic loss.
